Create an Insight Users group
Create a Windows domain security group named "Insight Users." Include all users who will use Insight applications.
Note: Using a domain security group for Insight users provides manageable setup and maintenance of your system. You use the Insight Users group to secure network files and Microsoft SQL access. After establishing the security in these locations once, you can add additional users in the future without changing the security.
Create an Inresponse Users group
Create a Windows domain security group named "Inresponse Users". Include all users who will use Inresponse Console.
Add the Inresponse Users group as a member of the Insight Users group.
Create network directories
Create a shared network drive, typically, \\servername\share\InsightData. For security, add the Insight Users domain group to the NTFS permissions of these folders, allowing modify access.
