When creating a new asset, users can include a Plant Location and a Work Center. This designation allows users to identify the number of assets within a geographic region.

By assigning an asset location, users can track assets across the Insight solution, leveraging functionality beyond the asset management module, such as Shop Floor, Business Intelligence, Service Management and Scheduling.
The availability of an asset can be managed more efficiently when part of a Work Center. The Asset Status checkpoint frame allows a user to select an asset from the plant, or to the specific work center the checkpoint is associated with.
