Using the Quick Form feature

The Quick Add Form is a feature within User Interface Designer that allows users to create a predefined form quickly, based on existing form parameters. 

Fields

FieldDescription
FormA unique value given, used to reference the form across the solution.
Form DescriptionWhat is displayed in the menu and the title of the form when opened.
Form IconVisual image used in the menu and the title region of the form when opened.
GroupAssigns the form to an existing group within the sidebar menu. 
User GroupAssign initial permissions to a user group.
Data ServiceThe primary data collection that the Results Region and the basis of controls within the form will be based on.
First Tab TitleUnique title for the first created tab.
Record Nav KeyA list of fields whose values will make up what is displayed in the record navigation drop down. For multiple fields, use a semi colon between the values, and they will be displayed with a dash between their values.
Create RightAutomatically creates a right, used to create permissions that can be added to a user group. If the form is a subforum, you can bypass this option.
Record Nav LabelWhat is displayed in the navigation area of the main form. This what the user will see when they search for the form.
StatusUsed to generate a standard Status tab content based on a workflow origin.

 

To create a form with the Quick-Add feature:

  1. Navigate to the User Interface Designer module.
  2. Select the icon at the form header.
  3. Fill in the required fields.
  4. Select Create.

The form is now created and will populate in the grid. You can customize it further using the User Interface Designer.
