The Purchase Order Receipts frame provides a confirmation of items being received from a vendor. Creating a Purchase Order Receipt provides proof of delivery, giving verification to items received. Generating a receipt is a way to detect discrepancies between what was ordered, invoiced, and received.
Purchase order receipt fields.

| Packing List Number | Packing list number, as it appears on the packing list included with the order. The number must not begin with POL. |
| PO Number | The existing purchase order line number. |
| Item | The item number. |
| Quantity | The quantity received. |
| Available Quantity | System-calculated conversion from the received quantity and UOM to the stocking quantity in the primary UOM. |
| Unit of Measure | If different from the default, select the unit of measure code associated with the received (transaction) quantity. |
| Lot | The lot number for lot-controlled items |
| Location | The location where the receivables will be stored. |
To create a purchase order receipt.
- Scan or manually enter a packing list number.
- Scan the barcode of a valid purchase order line number.
Note: The purchase order line number must begin with POL. - Enter the number received in the quantity field.
- If the item is lot controlled, enter the lot number.
Note: If the item is not lot controlled, this field will remain empty. - Complete the location field.
When complete, press enter or click off the form. If successful, the green indicator will populate at the bottom of the frame.
Note: To begin a new purchase receipt, press F7 to reset and clear the frame.
To merge scans from the desktop:
Some bar codes contain a combination of purchase order line and quantity information. Combined bar codes require the following format:
POLyyyQTYzzz
where yyy is the polID and zzz is the quantity.
You can manually enter this data using the same format.
