The Component Work Orders form displays a list of a containers, which are one or more items physically grouped together, to be processed for a checkpoint. Within each line of the grid, you can view its details such as the components, status, quantity, images, and locations. This process allows items to progress through the plant without the need for manual or paper tracking and provide clarity and context to all components.
Depending on how the checkpoint is configured, will determine whether the process is being started or completed when submitting the container. At the end of the process, the components can move onward to the next checkpoint in the route.
Component Work Orders can:
- Enhance collaboration between workstations.
- Produce manufacturing to stock from inventory.
- Manage defects or rework issues.
This helps create better visibility into Work in Progress (WIP) items. This refers to the process of tracking and managing items that are currently in production but are not yet finished.
