Dashboard Templates are reusable dashboard layouts that can be copied for different users to be used as their own. A template can be generated from scratch, similar to how a dashboard is created, or it can be instantiated from an existing dashboard layout. A template can be pushed to the users by an administrator as a layout.
Additionally, templates can be integrated into forms as additional tabs and be contextually sensitive to the data within a form via parameter overrides. This creates a more seamless integration between the form data and the template because the parameters will be automatically filled out from the record you are currently accessing. Multiple templates can be included in a single form.
