The Inventory Transfer frame lets you scan items in order to reassign them from one stocking location to another. In doing so, this ensures the correct materials are accounted for in the correct locations. The inventory transfer frame helps track materials or products as they move between physical locations, while updating digital records accordingly.
Inventory transfer settings:

Inventory transfer fields:
| Field | Description |
| Item/Lot/WHC | Scanned barcode or manually entered name of a valid item, lot, or warehouse container. Note: Use the lot number if the item is lot controlled. |
| From | Scanned barcode or manually entered ID of a valid warehouse stock location. The system automatically fills the From field if one of the following is true:

| To | Scanned barcode or manually entered ID of a valid warehouse stock location. |
| Quantity | The quantity, expressed in the default transactions unit of measure (UOM) to be transferred. |
| UOM | The unit of measure. |
| GL Class | By default, the general ledger class associated with adjustment transactions that involves the item. |
| Comment | User-defined information about the adjustment. |
To create an inventory transfer:
- Scan or manually enter the Item, Lot, or Warehouse Container (WHC) where the inventory is housed.
- Select the from and to location.
- Enter the quantity of items being transferred.
- Select the UOM and GL Class.
- Add a Comment or message (optional).
When finished, tab off the last field. If successful, the green toast will appear at the bottom of the form.
Additionally, a bar chart of the location quantity will update in real time.
