NOTE: All commands in this topic must be run from a Command Prompt window with Administrative rights.
The following code example demonstrates a silent installation of Insight where the installation directory, database name, database server, and path name of a log file are provided as parameters.
setup.exe /s /v"/qn IS_SQLSERVER_DATABASE=inSight_test IS_SQLSERVER_SERVER=os-sql19 /log \"%temp%\inSight_install.log\""
It is important to note that /v must be followed directly by a double quote and that other double quotes within the option string must be preceded by the escape symbol \.
The option string will be passed to the msi package that is included within setup.exe.
After set up is complete, you can use the log file for problem analysis.
You can provide the following additional parameters:

| USERNAME | The name of the user. |
| IS_SQLSERVER_SERVER | SQL Server instance. |
| IS_SQLSERVER_DATABASE | The name of the Insight database. |
| USETRUSTEDCONNECTION | [1] = Windows Authentication; [0] = SQL Server Authentication. |
| IS_SQLSERVER_USERNAME | User name for SQL Server Authentication. |
| IS_SQLSERVER_PASSWORD | Password for SQL Server Authentication. |
| LICENSESERVER | URL of the Insight License Manager. |
| ALLUSERS | [1] = Installation for all users; [0] = Installation for current user. If this parameter is not provided, Insight will be installed for the current user only. For an automated installation by some software distribution tools, it is often necessary to apply ALLUSERS = [1]. |
| ADDLOCAL | Comma-separated list of the components to be installed. These are the same components that are included in the Custom installation type when installing Insight interactively. Note: Do not use blank spaces after a comma. |
