NOTE: This section describes the tasks and setup that are required to install 2020 Construct properly. See the Insight System Requirements Guide for system requirements.
Log on using Inresponse Service account
If you are installing 2020 Construct on the application workstation, you need to use the Inresponse Service log on to ensure that the 2020 Construct environment is configured properly. Give the Inresponse user account local and administrative rights to the application workstation.
WARNINGS: The installation process converts the data in the Insight_Construct database to the latest version.
The user performing the upgrade must have the Microsoft SQL Server role sysadmin. With sysadmin rights, the installed 2020 Construct tables are correctly owned by dbo.users. If the user performs the upgrade without sysadmin rights, you can obtain a SQL script to correct the table ownership problem from Cyncly Help Desk Support.
Complete the following steps on the application workstation computer on which you install 2020 Construct:
- Make a note of the AutoCAD version that is installed.
- Prerun AutoCAD once. In other words, open and close AutoCAD before installing 2020 Construct.
- Prerun Internet Explorer once.
- We recommend that the memory swap file be 4X the installed memory.
NOTE: If you run Mechanical Desktop, start the plain AutoCAD "Vanilla" profile. - Disable the AutoCAD InfoCenter with the following AutoCAD LISP command:

SQL Server
The Insight_Construct database must reside on the SQL Server. If this does not exist, see the topic Prepare SQL Databases
Network
A designated shared network location must exist for 2020 Construct input and output files, typically, \\servername\share\2020 ConstructData. The data folders that are required for sharing among 2020 Construct users will reside here, including SYS, IMORDER, and VRMLCFG.
