The Shop Floor Assistant module helps to manage activities on the manufacturing floor, such as assembly, inventory management, shipping, receiving, and quality control. By using a combination of Checkpoints and Application Frames, you can increase automation while improving internal process flows and communication.
The Shop Floor Assistant software contains forms designed to initiate, monitor, and respond to shop floor activities. The system automatically creates each Shop Floor Assistant form based on configuration data. Each form represents a single checkpoint. The system uses details within checkpoint configuration to determine the layout, functions, and data presentation of each form.

Shop Floor Assistant form features
Shop Floor Assistant forms contain the following features:
- Work order tracking and monitoring using automated barcode readers.
- Real-time electronic work lists that provide a prioritized work schedule to shop employees.
- Automated response to predefined event trigger reports, e-mails, and other actions.
- Synchronized work and product flow that releases work lists based on the status of other work orders.
- Full real-time rework and recovery functionality at the point of need.
- CNC code, images, and other critical part information delivered electronically when and where it is needed.
- Tracking of machine and process cycle times.
- Production status and progress tracking based on real-time information.
- Automated alternate route processing.
- Location assignment for containers.
Note: System administrators control user group access to Shop Floor Assistant forms. To access a Shop Floor Assistant checkpoint form, users must be members of a user group that has been granted access to the form.
