Summaries are used to aggregate data in grids, on the fly. Users can display and present data without having to create reports or export outside the Insight client.
Depending on the data value, users can choose from a selection of Summary Types. Below is a list of summary types used for numerical values.
To enable Summaries:
- Right click on a Column Header.
- Select Summaries.
- Select the Summary Type.
The Summary is populated at the bottom of the column. To remove the summary, right-click on Column Header > Summaries > None.
Using summaries in groups.
When working in groups, summaries are accessible by enabling the Group Panel. From here, a selection is made available called Group Summaries. This selection lets users summarize group data. These summaries are populated at the grouping row.
