Creating a view

A Grid View allows users to preserve the layout of a grid or tree. The scope for which users can create views depends on being granted the Grid Expert (tcxGridExpert) right.

To create a View:

  1. Right-click on a Column Header.

  2. Select Views.
Note: Views are docked within the pop-up menu. Users can revisit this menu to access, edit, and save views.

  3. Select Save View As.

  4. Assign a Name.

  5. Optionally select Is Default.
Note: This will prioritize the selected view when opening the form.

  6. Choose the Type.
Note: The type determines the availability of a view. Types are categorized by user, a specific group, or globally. If choosing a group, specify the desired group from the drop-down menu. The Type category is only available for users granted the Grid Expert (tcxGridExpert) right.

  7. Click OK

The view is now created and saved in the pop-up menu under Views > Select View.
